We are looking for an Apprentice Business Administrator to work with both the HR Administration and Office Management teams here at IT Services in the University of Oxford. You will have an interest in and an aptitude for all aspects of business administration. You will learn to provide excellent support to staff across IT Services and when liaising with other teams in University Administration and Services.
Through this appointment you will gain a practical insight into two busy and effective administrative teams within the IT Services and the experience required to support our staff to perform their roles. You will be allocated a primary set of duties within the HR Team and the Office Management Team and as your skills develop there will be an opportunity to focus on specific areas of the business.
The role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in performing a diverse set of activities, supporting staff across IT Services, and someone who is capable of working at an efficient and fast pace

You will be required to complete an 18 month training programme that will cover all aspects of the role and will be delivered through in-house training, as well as day-release or other distance learning methods delivered by Abingdon and Witney College. You will complete a Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship and gain a Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration. For the right candidate there may be the opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship that would take a further 18 months to complete. College attendance and successful completion of these studies is an essential requirement of this Apprenticeship.
Applicants should have evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK. This role will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Tier 2 visa under the points-based immigration system.
