Applications are invited for two 4-year fixed-term Postdoctoral Research Assistants to join a Wellcome Trust funded project on the Future of Animal Sourced Food. The successful applicants will take responsibility for delivering the social science components of this large, interdisciplinary project and will work closely with Dr Jamie Lorimer and Dr Tara Garnett. Research will involve close collaboration with the natural science members of the project team and a range of project stakeholders.
Applicants must have (or have recently submitted) a doctorate in the social sciences (geography, anthropology, sociology, science studies, politics or closely related fields) with a substantive focus on food, animals and agriculture. They should have research experience and expertise appropriate to their career stage and a publication record and familiarity with the existing literature and research within the field of agro-food studies.
Postholders will be based in the Oxford Martin School, Oxford and will report directly to Dr Jamie Lorimer (School of Geography and the Environment) and Dr Tara Garnett (Food Climate Research Network).
Potential applicants who would like to discuss the post are welcome to contact Dr Jamie Lorimer via email: email@example.com.
Applications must be made online and applicants should submit a CV and covering letter.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday on Wednesday 12 July 2017.
