We are seeking a part-time (16.15 h per week) receptionist to provide a welcoming reception service to staff, guests, visitors and students. This is a permanent post based in central Oxford.
You will perform a range of receptionist and related general clerical duties, including operation of the telephone, advice to telephone callers, taking and passing on messages, reception of visitors, monitoring access control, and dealing with a multitude of enquiries from staff and students. At all times you will need to operate with tact, discretion and the observance of confidentiality
You must be well presented with excellent interpersonal skills, a polite and courteous manner along with a good telephone manner, good IT skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people. The ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently and with initiative and flexibility is essential.
The successful candidate will work from 3.00 to 6.15pm, Monday – Friday.
For the right postholder this role could be combined with the Porter role (vacancy ID: 138498) to create a full-time job for which the hours would be 10.00am – 6.15pm, Monday – Friday.
