An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer (General Ledger) to join the Accounts team in Department of Engineering Science on a permanent basis. This role is part time at 60% FTE.
This role is primarily responsible for period-end processes, and monitoring and reconciling a variety of activity run through the departmentís general ledger cost centres. Working with the support of the Management Accountant, the role supports the department by maintaining accurate and efficient processing, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the accounts, and enabling timely financial information to budget holders and other stakeholders.
You should have a full or part finance qualification e.g. AAT (those part-qualified will be supported with their training where possible) and relevant financial management experience with significant experience in an accounts office. You should also have experience of financial software packages and be an advanced user of excel. Experience of financial management in a University environment is desirable.
