We are looking for an analytical and innovative individual, who is passionate about data analysis and modelling to join the University of Oxford, IT Services, Business Application and Data Architecture Team.
This new 2-year fixed-term post will see you be a key member of a small team of data analysts and modellers who create specialist data architecture content for a variety of university IT projects, including integrations, migrations and business intelligence activities. Working with project stakeholders, programme and project managers, business analysts, software developers, and testers, you will be responsible for interrogating business systems and processes in order to define data requirements in logical and physical data models, and mappings, using tools such as Erwin’s Case wise Modeller suite and Microsoft Visio (training available where required).
Candidates must have proven data analysis experience gained from working with complex business applications. You will have a good knowledge of relational data structures, theories, principles and practices and you will be experienced in gathering and documenting data related requirements from business users and technical colleagues. You will be willing to learn new skills and be able to adapt flexibly to the challenges of data analysis and modelling.
