As part of the Universityís investment in digital education, we are recruiting two fixed-term (2 years) additional learning technologists to expand our central Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Support Team. You will be joining the University at an exciting time as we work to deliver the aims of our Digital Education Strategy, playing a key role in the implementation of our new institutional VLE (Canvas by Instructure). You will work collaboratively with academic and administrative staff, assisting the creative design of their Canvas courses through Learning Design workshops, hands-on support, and the development of guidance materials. You will be responsible for gathering key metrics and qualitative data to help track success and feed into a wider programme evaluation. As part of our small and dynamic team, you will support the evaluation and application of a growing range of additional technologies in teaching and learning. As an experienced, energetic TEL professional, you will be a first point of contact for staff who wish to introduce technology into their teaching practices and provide relevant and engaging learning experiences for students.
You will be educated to Masterís level in a relevant subject and should be able to demonstrate the following experience: applying a broad range of technologies in teaching, learning and assessment; developing and designing VLE sites/courses; sound knowledge of current TEL theories and approaches; and the strong interpersonal skills required to take on the responsibilities of the role.
