IT Services has an exciting opportunity to work in the Programme and Project Delivery group, assisting the Director, management team and Project Managers with project support and administration across the portfolio of up to 80 projects.
The role would suit someone with administration experience as there will be opportunities to learn about the various roles – project management, business analysis, communications and testing – with shadowing opportunities and opportunities to develop in these areas if suitable. It would also suit an experienced administrator who has worked in a project environment.
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management, the Project Delivery Administrator will provide administrative support for the department across a range of activities. This includes arranging meetings and events, processing the on-boarding and renewals of contract staff, raising and tracking purchase orders and invoices, and keeping the group’s Sharepoint site up to date with information. They will also work on specific large projects, supporting the Project Manager by maintaining Risk and Issue registers, Action logs, taking minutes of Project meetings etc. For more information on the range of projects see https://projects.it.ox.ac.uk/home
This is a varied and busy role in a friendly and hard-working team, and we are looking for someone with initiative, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail who can prioritise their workload and work with minimal supervision.
Whilst this is a full-time post, we also welcome applications from candidates who wish to work part-time (minimum 30 hours/0.8 FTE) and/or flexibly. The post is for a fixed-term period of 2 years.
