We have currently two Postdoctoral Researcher positions available in Dr Ester Hammondís lab, whose research is focused on tumour hypoxia and how this impacts treatment response. Each postdoctoral researcher will focus on investigating the hypoxia-induced DNA damage response and, wherever possible, translating this knowledge to improve therapy response. The candidates will also be expected to assist in the running of the laboratory.
You will have a PhD/DPhil in molecular biology, biochemistry, biology or a related science (or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up the post). You must be able to demonstrate competence and success in the PhD research area (and postdoctoral work if appropriate), e.g. as judged by publications in high quality, peer reviewed, journals. Previous experience in the field of tumour hypoxia is essential for this role, together with knowledge of the replication stress response.
This is a full-time post and is offered for a fixed-term of 1 year in the first instance with the possibility of extension.
All applicants must complete an application form and upload a CV and supporting statement.
The closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on 8 June 2017.
