Reporting to Dr Edward Meinert, Sir David Cooksey Fellow in Healthcare Translation, this is an exciting opportunity to participate in the intersection of digital health, software engineering, data science and regulation.
The postholder will join a small, dynamic research group that is supporting several projects and is involved in a number of exciting international collaborations. Work undertaken will aim to inform education policy at the national and international level.
The postholder will support the evaluation of digital health solutions and research supporting patient and public involvement in the introduction of these solutions. They will also support literature reviews and grant applications focused on the evaluation of the design, development and of information systems and healthcare.
There is an essential leadership component to the role, and the postholder should expect to take on research project management responsibilities and coordinate primary data collection exercises and fieldwork.
The ideal candidate must hold a PhD degree in the sciences and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes. The candidate must be able to independently plan and manage a research project and be willing to travel abroad if the project requires, including at short notice, to different locations within the EU. They must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package is essential, and experience of using Stata is also desired.
